We wanted to join a trade association that would really separated us from the cowboys, and we felt that the Buy With Confidence scheme was by far the best. People trust the Trading Standards above all else, as I don't think there is one person who hasn't at least heard of them! It is great for our business as it gives people that assurity, especially if they don’t know who we are, or live out of the area.

Since joining the scheme we have seen around a 60% increase in enquiries with no additional advertising.

I joined the Buy With Confidence scheme as I wanted our customers to know that we are a reputable company and are committed to providing the highest level of service. I felt being part of the scheme would help us get the message to our customers. Since joining the scheme in 2003 it has helped us get more business, and the leaflets and feedback forms also give our customers more information on the scheme, they also let the Trading Standards staff know that we are providing a good service to our customers.

It raises our profile and gives customers and potential customers even more confidence to buy from us knowing we're law-abiding and take customer care seriously.
